Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 3 October 2026.

These terms describe Devotional library, its reading tools, permitted use of its materials, and our responsibilities. The library is a free resource for reading Hindu devotional texts, including mantras, chalisa, aarti and stotra, with selected source editions, transliteration, English meaning where available, saved reading places and printing.

Operator and contact

The operator is Sabiedrība ar ierobežotu atbildību Grigerlab (SIA Grigerlab), company registration number 40103828294. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to this operator. Contact [email protected] for questions, corrections, privacy requests and rights notices.

Scope and independence

Reading does not require an account. The library does not sell subscriptions, process donations, accept payments or take orders. A purchase or donation on a linked website is subject to that provider’s terms and applicable law.

This is an independent library, not an official service of a temple, sampradaya, ashram, guru, religious authority or source publisher. Names, source credits and descriptions of traditions do not imply endorsement, affiliation or religious approval.

Religious materials and personal guidance

The materials support reading, devotion, learning and personal reflection. They do not replace guidance from a qualified teacher or religious community, or determine your religious obligations. Different traditions may use different texts, pronunciation, sequences and practices. Transliteration represents written letters; it is not verified pronunciation or instruction in initiation, ritual eligibility or recitation discipline.

We do not promise that reading, recitation or completion of a text will produce a spiritual, medical, financial, legal or personal result. Traditional descriptions of benefits are not guarantees. A saved place records where you chose to resume; it does not measure religious merit, faith or fulfillment of an obligation. Our explanations do not create a religious or professional advisory relationship.

Some texts concern illness, grief or distress. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, psychotherapy, treatment or emergency support. Prayer or recitation should not delay appropriate care or replace prescribed treatment. Discuss health decisions with qualified healthcare professionals. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services; our email is not an emergency or crisis service.

Editions and reading aids

Readers identify their selected source, revision, scope and material editorial changes. Community transcriptions are not critical editions. A text can differ from another printed edition or contemporary practice. See our Sources and editorial policy.

Original text, Latin transliteration, a Devanagari rendering where provided, and English literal meaning where provided are distinct layers. Choosing the Hindi interface does not translate an original or turn English meaning into Hindi meaning. Availability of a meaning layer is identified on the relevant reader. Our reading blocks, headings and renderings aid navigation and do not establish an authoritative ritual division.

We aim for accurate materials, but errors, omissions and outdated explanations can occur. We may correct, replace or remove content for editorial, rights or technical reasons. A changed edition can require choosing a new saved place. We do not promise to preserve every previous edition or keep a page permanently available. Report concerns with the page address and passage.

Saved reading and printing

Saved text choices, positions and display settings remain in the browser you use. There is no account backup or automatic synchronization across devices. Browser restrictions, clearing site data, changing browsers or site addresses, or technical faults can make them unavailable. Keep your own copy if preservation matters. The Privacy Policy explains local storage and ordinary website requests.

A reading sheet can combine up to three chosen texts. Printing and available PDFs reproduce selected editions with their source and license notices. The site’s tools do not verify ritual completeness for your own tradition. Check the relevant edition and notices before using a sheet or download.

Copyright, licenses and reuse

To the extent that we hold the necessary rights, we permit reading, downloading and printing through the site’s functions for personal, non-commercial use. Retain source, attribution, copyright and license notices. This general permission does not restrict broader permissions granted by a material’s specific license.

The notices for the selected text, rendering, meaning or file govern that material. Where CC BY-SA 4.0 applies, its terms govern reuse, including commercial reuse, attribution, identification of changes and share-alike where required. These terms add no restrictions to uses permitted by that license. A source site’s general license does not automatically license every underlying composition, translation, image or edition on it.

We claim no exclusive ownership of traditional or public-domain compositions. A traditional text’s age does not establish the status of a modern translation, editorial apparatus, photograph, facsimile, font or layout. A source link identifies evidence; it grants no separate rights in the source website or scanned pages. Public-domain status and exceptions vary between countries. A United States-only assessment is not worldwide clearance.

We grant only rights we are entitled to grant. A download button or attribution does not itself authorize bulk republication, resale or incorporation into another product. Follow the applicable license or seek clarification where necessary. Nothing here restricts public-domain use, quotation, fair use in the United States, fair dealing in India or another exception where the relevant law permits it. Such exceptions depend on their legal conditions; a religious or educational purpose is not automatic permission for every use.

Acceptable use and external links

Do not infringe rights, introduce malicious software, bypass access controls or interfere with the site or other readers. Automated access must respect applicable rights and avoid unreasonable load. Ordinary lawful browsing, printing and accessibility tools remain permitted. We may take proportionate measures against abuse without preventing lawful complaints or exercise of rights.

External sites have their own operators, content, security and privacy practices. A link does not guarantee their accuracy, suitability or availability. We are not responsible for another operator’s performance merely because we link to it; responsibility imposed by law for our own conduct remains.

Availability, warranties and liability

We may maintain, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably needed, subject to law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device or permanent availability of browser data.

To the extent legally effective, free informational materials and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without a contractual guarantee of completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or a particular result. Where law permits, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement are disclaimed. These provisions do not override mandatory standards or our legal duties.

For business or professional use only, and only where legally effective, we exclude indirect or consequential losses and lost profits arising from use or unavailability. This additional exclusion does not apply to consumers.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be limited, or any other non-excludable liability. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights, and rights of third-party rights holders, remain. Where a jurisdiction disallows a limitation, it applies only to the extent permitted.

Notices, law and changes

Send corrections or rights notices to [email protected], identifying the page, passage, your concern and, for a rights claim, the rights and authority on which you rely. We assess notices and may seek proportionate clarification or restrict material while investigating. Please avoid unnecessary private information.

Latvian law governs these terms to the extent legally permitted. Applicable mandatory protections in your country remain, including consumer remedies and access to competent courts. No exclusive Latvian court requirement is imposed on protected consumers. Language choice does not establish residence or determine applicable law.

These terms describe the service and permissions. A visit or footer link alone is not treated as a universal agreement to waive rights. A provision requiring contractual agreement operates only where a valid agreement has been formed under applicable law.

The current terms and effective date appear here. Material changes receive appropriate notice and apply only as law permits; they do not retroactively remove accrued rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest applies only insofar as legally permissible.
